Your Account

The personal area is a server-hosted web page designed for editing personal data, marketing preferences, and viewing personal history data.

How to sign in

On each page, click the Sign In button in the top right corner.

Enter your e-mail address and the system will send an OTC (one time code) by e-mail.

Go to your mailbox, open our email, copy the code when prompted by the system and press the button to access our system.

If this is the first time you log in, you must register first, as described in the “Signing up” procedure.

If the information entered is valid, enter your personal area, otherwise error messages indicate what is wrong and how to fix it.

After logging in, the website will show you some buttons related to the available sections:

- Profile: In this section you can view, enter, modify all your data, such as your name, surname, address, etc.

- Shield: this section deals with the management of possible Shields for your privacy and security.

- Preferences: here you can choose the frequency with which to receive communications from our platform, including the possibility of unsubscribing.

- Interests: here you can choose the categories of your interest to receive targeted commercial communications.

- History: in this section you can view all the interactions that have taken place between you and our platform over time.

- Security: in this section you will find the log of your activities on the platform and a series of tools for the security of your data.

- Portability: in this section you can export a copy of the contents of your MegaMTA Account as a backup or to use them with an external service.

- Account: in this section you can choose whether to temporarily disable your account or permanently delete it irreversibly.

To disconnect, simply press the "Disconnect" button.

Profile

In this section you can enter and modify your data, such as your name, surname, address, etc.

The only information you cannot change is the email address. If you want to change it, you must unsubscribe from our system using the address you no longer want to use and then register again with the address you want to use.

We use your data to be able to send you personalized communications based on the information you have entered. For example, if you enter United Kingdom as your country, the system sends you communications in English. If you enter a mobile number as a phone number, you may receive calls or messages to the number entered.

Shield

This section deals with the management of possible Shields for your privacy and security.

We make available to everyone the possibility of protecting their identity by providing those who wish to do so with additional external contact points to their personal, such as:

  • an email address with the extension "megamta.com"
  • a mobile phone number
  • a landline phone number

You can activate these services by contacting us and identifying yourself with identity documents.

We will be happy to provide you with an email address that you can communicate the next time you activate a loyalty card, a mobile number to receive tokens or promotions, a landline number to receive warning or promotional calls.

By activating our shields, you always stay in contact with the outside world through so-called non-personal contact points, which allow you to still receive communications from the outside, such as emails, mobile and landline phone calls, as well as promotional sms and tokens. verification.

Preferences

In this section you can choose through which channels you want to be contacted.

The only box that you cannot change is that of the emails, because if you no longer want to receive emails you must necessarily unsubscribe from our service.

Furthermore, you can choose the frequency with which to receive communications from our platform (daily, weekly, ...), the maximum number of messages per week, etc ..., including the possibility of unsubscribing to no longer receive any communication from our systems and also the right not to be tracked by our online systems.

Interests

You can select the categories of your interest to receive targeted commercial communications.

The more categories you select, the more communications will be targeted based on your choices.

History

In this section you can view all the interactions that have taken place between you and our platform over time: from your subscription to your last action.

Here you can see the date you signed up for our platform and the IP address where the registration took place. This is extremely useful because it gives you the geographical indication of the page used for the subscription, which may have also been an online advertising landing page.

If there is a lot of information, you will find a button to request the complete list. The request will be processed immediately, but it may take up to 5 working days to process your request and send the file containing the requested information to your email address indicated in the personal area. We work this way, because we don't keep all data online, but we keep a separate offline archive for both legal and security reasons.

If you believe that some information is not right or see something wrong, you can report it to us by contacting us or you can discover more about it in the Security section, where you can carry out checks by yourself using specific tools.

Security

This section consists of two parts.

A section displays the log of all the activities related to you with the information indicated in order to always provide you with a clear situation of what is happening.

Each record displays various information, such as the date and time when the action took place, the IP used, the type of operation, etc ...

Another section collects information about your security, such as any problems we encountered, and lists some online tools that allow you to check if there are problems relating to your data.

For example, tools that by entering your email address tell you if you have been the victim of a data breach or if you have inadvertently left some of your data lying around on the internet such as email, telephone number, etc ...

Portability

In this section you can export a copy of the contents of your MegaMTA Account as a backup or for use with a service external to MegaMTA.

To create a new export you need to:

Once you press the button to create the export, the file will be delivered to you as requested within 24 business hours.

Account

In this section you can choose whether to temporarily disable your account or permanently delete it irreversibly.

- Deactivation:

As required by your right to be forgotten, deactivation allows you to temporarily deactivate your account, so that your data is no longer used. If you wish to reactivate your account in the future, you will need to submit your request to us via a support ticket.

- Elimination:

if you proceed with the deletion of your account, you will no longer be able to recover your data and information in MegaMTA. Be very careful to activate this option, because the operation is permanent and irreversible.
